Although all the above facade structures and their damage mechanisms are partly interrelated, they all also have their own special characteristics. The extremely long history of masonry structures in particular, and rendering on such structures, cause a specific challenge, what with all the different materials and structural solutions used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Guide is designed to comprehensively present the characteristic features of different structures as well as their damage mechanisms to provide the condition surveyor with sufficient knowledge to choose the correct condition survey methods.
