Comment of the jury: \u201cThe fulfillment of Tallinn City Theatre\u2019s long-held dream in the best possible way. The architects have done an excellent job of combining old and new buildings into a striking theatre complex in the heart of the Old Town.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jury chairman Aadu Kana<\/em>: \u201cGoing deep underground made it possible to build two large theatre halls. The street-facing facade, featuring large windows and an open glass front, allows daylight to reach the lower floors and offers city residents a beautiful view of the inner courtyard with its unique stage tower. Versatile and effective use of concrete in both the structural framework and interior design.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n
