The buildings at 10 and 22 Turumankatu Street comprise a tower block and a row house, joined together.

The objective has been to emphasise the single-material nature of the buildings in terms of both material choices and details.

The tower block’s facades are characterised by high-gloss white concrete shell elements and concrete balconies as well as white window frames and details. The row house has a dark coloured brick facade, the shelters and storages feature dark coloured dyed concrete with matte finish, and dark window frames and details.

The ventilated shell element construction of the facade is well suited for buildings on seafronts. The use of the shell elements also made it possible to benefit from large element sizes and vertical erection with stretcher bond. The precast facade panels are two-storey high, about 3200 mm × 6000 mm in size.

The balconies were cast as monolithic structures with no joints. They are supported with steel parts to the inner facade shell and were installed in place at the same time as the panels.
